Part 1: Building Healthy Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence (March 18 from 8:30 am - 10:30 am CST)

Discover the important elements of fostering healthy self-esteem while building the self-confidence needed to take on challenges. Gain insight into the dark side of self-esteem and learn proven methods to ensure children not only feel good, but also do well. Explore methods to increase effective praise that builds the "can do" attitude needed to ensure future success. Label methods to increase problem-solving skills and promote a trusting and responsive relationship that will reduce challenging behaviors.

Part 2: Happy Helpers! Promoting Self-Confidence & Better Behavior through Increased Responsibility (March 18 from 10:45 am - 12:45 pm CST)

Identify four proven methods to build important self-confidence and a “can do” attitude in young children. Explore what chores and self-care you can expect of children age 2-8 years and discover ways to build young children’s ability to complete chores successfully. Collect tools to increase responsibility and gain cooperation without bribery, nagging, or threats. Through these real-life strategies, you will avoid overindulgence, decrease power struggles, and increase positive behavior in the children you care for.

If you attend the entire 4-hour session live webinar session, you will

  • Gain an understanding of one major reason these behaviors are occurring and what you can do to ensure positive outcomes for all
  • Collect strategies to reduce whining and needy behavior and promote kind and thoughtful behavior

  • Receive quality early childhood training hours - All participants who fully complete the course will receive a training hours certificate for 2-training hours for each webinar

You gain 2 training hours for each webinar!

All participants who fully complete the course will receive a training certificate for 2-training hours for each webinar. To receive your training hours, you will need to log in to Zoom to participate in chats/polls  as you apply the concepts to your environment and complete a brief evaluation survey.  Participants must not miss more than 15 minutes of the session.  During the session, you must not be responsible for the care of young children or driving a car.

100% Approved in both MN (Develop-MNCPD/Achieve) and NY for 2-training hours (Meet OCFS training requirements, Quality Assured, and count towards NYS Regulatory Training Requirements).  Participants from MN and NY will receive entry into Develop or Aspire, if needed, within two business days of completing the course.

Training Hours

Participants will receive a training certificate (and entry into Develop or Aspire, if needed) within two business days of attending the webinar, fully participating, and filling out the short post-webinar survey.  For training hours, you will need to participate in chats, polls, and a question/answer time as you apply the concepts to your environment.
